Comments: I love 70's R&B and know it will live forever and will always be "rediscovered' by generations to come. I am a fan for lufe and have been searching for a song I heard the Chi-litez sing several years ago when on tour with the stylistics and dramatics. I don't know the exact name, but it was a live song (of course), with Spring in the lyrics. Can you tell me the name?

Comments: Hello guys, I just wanted to let you all know personally that I have loved your music since I was at least 13 and I'm 58 now and still love it . Each and everyone of you have the most beautiful voices which to me is a gift from God ! I have loved every song but I think my all time favorite is " Have you seen her " . And I know color doesn't matter to you. But I am white but I have always found more peace and meaning in listening to the soul music , especially from the 60's, 70's and 80's . And I still have all my collections , there just now all on my IPods and computer . I've probably spent over 1,000.00 dollars on iTunes buying all the old songs that I NEVER get tired of listening too. God bless you guys for all the beautiful music you have brought to many many people . Every song has a special meaning and memory for me ! I wish you could come to Mobile to do a concert ! Love you all from my heart and soul , Robin 5hubbe

I called radio station for years after when they misprnounced the group's name, which they always did, with a soft CH instead of the hard CH as in Chicago!! Wonderful memories of Eugene and the Chi-lites for sure !

Comments: Question/Comment: I bought a CD on ebay recently of the Chi Lites. It sounds like a remake. The music sounds faster than the original ones (studio version). This CD says made in 1995. Can I be looking at an original Chi Lites or a remake by some other new artists with the Chi Lits. To tell you the truth, I prefer the original studio recordings as "Have you seen her" seems longer on the original recording. I still like this 1995 CD but there is "something missing" and just can't put my finger on it. I think it says remastered CD (what would that mean)? Peter

His story suddenly vanished as the years passed without his past group members never thanked him or even give him his recognition which sadden his fans. A biopic would be AWESOME. Told my wife about the Afros back in day. Told her also that the late Mr. Record wrote the "Soulful Strut". Marshall Thompson and the Chi-Lites are real deal American Soul Music. It was a privilege to hear them.

Comments: I remembered the Chi-Lites back in the 60's when I was just a little girl. I knew Robert (Squirrel) Lester more because his sister was my sister's best friend. My oldest sister use to take me to their home on Northside of Chicago when they use to practice singing and playing. I remember one of the team members said to me, "You're sister so cute she will break someone heart," of course my sister said no she will not. I remember when they were practicing the song, Have you seen her. That was a hit song. The Chi-lites were great and still live on as a great group. I smile now because I was in their present listening to the raw songs with and without music and they still was excellent. Go Chi-Lites you will forever live in my heart. Love you,

Comments: A friend posted on Facebook the 45 cover of "Have You Seen Her," one of Chi-lites' great hits. It jogged my memory about how equally great the flip side, "I'm Ready (If I Don't Get to Go)," was. The lyrics are so profound and the melody/arrangement is impeccable. I rifled thru my 45 collection, dug it out, and played it all afternoon. Thanks so much for the splendid music!

I always enjoy the music, and Chi-Lites were huge when I was forming my musical inspirations as a kid in the 70's. Stylistics and Spinners were favs, but it was you guys we sang on the street corner. Had a gig last night so I was inspired all over again prior to it. Thanks Chi-Lites, and hey ---- where can I get one of those killer brims?

Comments: Back in the 70's when rhythm and blues were hitting the airwaves was magic. Listening to the ChiLites late in the evening... the experience was incomparable to any other kind of music. I just finished watching the original members performance on Soul Train, introduced by Don Cornelius, showed everyone how to have fun and have a good time. Still works today. Thank you Mr. Thompson. It is sad to hear that Red and Squirrel have passed on, but left us some wonderful music that will continue to be heard and loved by generations ahead.

Comments: I had the pleasure of attending one of the finest concerts of all time. On Sunday, January 20th, 2013, I attended a fantabulous concert at the Trump Taj Mahal Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. There were numerous entertainers that evening, but the headliners of the show was non other than the legendary Chi-lites. Their performance was wonderful. I enjoyed the show immensely. After their magnificent stage show, the one and only Mr. Marshall Thompson, came out into the lobby and took the time to meet and greet some of his loyal fans, sign autographs and he was also gracious enough to be photographed with some of his fans (myself included). Although the group's performance that evening was fierce, I find that the love Mr. Thompson exibited towards his fans was the highlight of the evening's festivities. He mingled with us, laughing and joking and just being 'one of us'. I have such great respect for this gentleman. I WISH YOU MUCH LOVE AND CONTINUED SUCCESS IN ALL FUTURE ENDEAVORS. GODSPEED
