Comments: Thank you for the tremendous show tonight at the Valentines for Veterans. Been a fan since the early 70s, but this was my first time to see you perform live. Told my wife about the Afros back in day. Told her also that the late Mr. Record wrote the "Soulful Strut". Marshall Thompson and the Chi-Lites are real deal American Soul Music. It was a privilege to hear them.

Comments: Dear Mr. Thompson, I just came from your Veterans day free concert for Veteran's in Prescott. You and all the rest of the crew were EXCELLENT! Your music, performance and your appreciation for the Vet's! I served in Iraq and have been isolating and avoiding people and things for 7 years. This is the first concert or public event I have been to in a long time.I want to THANK YOU for helping me get out and enjoy life again! You helped me more than you will ever know. You blessed me and my fellow warriors by the concert tonight!!!! God Bless you all! You made me proud to be an American and a combat Vet!!!!!!JOB WELL DONE!!!

Comments: I remembered the Chi-Lites back in the 60's when I was just a little girl. I knew Robert (Squirrel) Lester more because his sister was my sister's best friend. My oldest sister use to take me to their home on Northside of Chicago when they use to practice singing and playing. I remember one of the team members said to me, "You're sister so cute she will break someone heart," of course my sister said no she will not. I remember when they were practicing the song, Have you seen her. That was a hit song. The Chi-lites were great and still live on as a great group. I smile now because I was in their present listening to the raw songs with and without music and they still was excellent. Go Chi-Lites you will forever live in my heart. Love you,
