Comments: I remembered the Chi-Lites back in the 60's when I was just a little girl. I knew Robert (Squirrel) Lester more because his sister was my sister's best friend. My oldest sister use to take me to their home on Northside of Chicago when they use to practice singing and playing. I remember one of the team members said to me, "You're sister so cute she will break someone heart," of course my sister said no she will not. I remember when they were practicing the song, Have you seen her. That was a hit song. The Chi-lites were great and still live on as a great group. I smile now because I was in their present listening to the raw songs with and without music and they still was excellent. Go Chi-Lites you will forever live in my heart. Love you,

Comments: A friend posted on Facebook the 45 cover of "Have You Seen Her," one of Chi-lites' great hits. It jogged my memory about how equally great the flip side, "I'm Ready (If I Don't Get to Go)," was. The lyrics are so profound and the melody/arrangement is impeccable. I rifled thru my 45 collection, dug it out, and played it all afternoon. Thanks so much for the splendid music!

Comments: Had a rare treat to see you guys on the 70's Soul show PBS was airing a few nights ago. I always enjoy the music, and Chi-Lites were huge when I was forming my musical inspirations as a kid in the 70's. Stylistics and Spinners were favs, but it was you guys we sang on the street corner. Had a gig last night so I was inspired all over again prior to it. Thanks Chi-Lites, and hey ---- where can I get one of those killer brims?

Comments: I have listened to your music for over 40 years. My son was raised listening to you guys and at 26 years old can recite word for word. I played your music driving him to Elementary School, Little League, football practice, Religious instructions,The Zoo, The Park, Middle School, and High School...wherever we went - you guys were right there with us. He is talking marriage these days - I would love to surprise him with you guys appearing at his Wedding when they finally pick a date - any chance of that? You guys are family and have been with me through thick and thin. You will be with me forever. God Bless you all.

Comments: Back in the 70's when rhythm and blues were
hitting the airwaves was magic. Listening to the
ChiLites late in the evening... the experience was
incomparable to any other kind of music. I just
finished watching the original members performance
on Soul Train, introduced by Don Cornelius, showed
everyone how to have fun and have a good time.
Still works today. Thank you Mr. Thompson. It
is sad to hear that Red and Squirrel have passed
on, but left us some wonderful music that will
continue to be heard and loved by generations
