Loved you as always but whoever was in charge of the sound system should be fired. It was pretty awful from where we were seated (we were in section 114 right above the technicians who were constantly pushing buttons and screwing up the sound). Nevertheless we still had a good time. We are very excited to hear that you will be inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame. You guys truly deserve it and it is about time. The Chi-Lites brought back so many memories that was forgotten! The other groups were good but the Chi-Lites were the BEST! Keep on singing and may God Bless each and everyone on of you. Love ya! Appearing were the Chi-lites The Manhattans The Delphonics and The Stylistics. That show brought back so many memories but most importantly everyone in the audience remembered that at one time `Music was Music`. It told a story. There was love in the air not music that talked about guns violence and cursing. Everyone sang along with the groups and it didn't matter whether we were off key or not we all had a good time. If I'm not mistaken I believe the Chi-lites said they had been in the business for 47 years and the Stylistics 39 years. Now that is what I call longevity (smile). Keep up the good work guys and may God bless all of you for a long time to come. I have no idea why I have not heard the song in ages and now I can't get it out of my head. I have a few Chi-Lite songs on my oldies CDs but not that one so I am going to buy a greatest hits CD with that song on it. I still have 33rpm albums I play to this day from `Give It Away` to `Bottoms Up`. Thank you for the special songs that have touched my heart since my youth. `Give Me A Dream` is the song that pretty much sums it up. I've done some singing on the road and to do it for as long as you guys have is remarkable. God Bless and take care. However I can not imagine those future replays of today’s sounds invoking anything within today’s generation close to the deeply heart and soul stirring feelings that I am blessed to experience each time the beautiful harmonic notes and lyrics of such groups as the Chi-Lites drift through my ears and stimulate memories…of The Apollo The Uptown The Capital The Regal and even The Wonder Garden as well as Club Harlem where after a set it was not unusual for a group member or the whole group; (The Chi-Lites Blue Magic Delfonics Intruders H M & The Blue Notes etc etc) to except an offered of a drink at your table or at the bar and shoot the bull between sets. Today those up close and personal type of shows and the ‘blue light’ house parties are but distant memories for me. But I am blessed to be alive and employed here in Atlantic City as a Stagehand. And though many of the originals members of the groups have passed on to a Higher Stage the music is being carried on. And to the Chi-Lites and each and every other group that carries on that traditional sound “Thank you for the memories and with God’s Grace may you all keep-on-keeping-on.” I am just one of many in black-in back of stage I just have a tear and a smile when I working a 60’s & 70’s shows here in Atlantic City NJ Name: Sir Rudolph Jones Location: Saginawm Mi. e-mail: j_fjones@yahoo.com Submitted: Mon Feb 5 16:15:48 2007 EST Comments: As a child my partners and I used to wreck a crowd executing the harmonies of the Chi-Lites and the other groups of the era. With the acquisition of two of my former bandmates Marvin Weatherspoon [keyboards] and Greg Lee [bass]The Chi-Lites are going to blow-up all over again. I had the pleasure of sharing the stage with the legendary performers in Chicago and I was seriously blown away. The Chi-Lites rule. Gentleman keep on keepin' on.
